About The Company: They are a long-established, family-run transport company with over 40 years of experience in the transport industry. Operating from their modern workshop in Manchester, they maintain their own fleet of HGV vehicles alongside a growing customer base. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced HGV / PSV Technician to join their team.
About The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs, PSVs, trailers and other commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Duties:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, PSVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
- Complete Preventative Maintenance Inspections to DVSA standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and carry out associated repairs
- Perform brake, steering, suspension, drivetrain and tipping gear repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
- Complete workshop paperwork, job cards and inspection sheets accurately
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace
