About the Role
The company are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Tramper Drivers to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
- Use of hand-held device for job details and POD's.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a focus on delivery driving.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorries is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- A valid commercial driving licence is required.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing delivery schedules effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
