About The Company: They are a market leading company, already involved in interesting prestigious projects, for example section of the HS2 rail link and multi-million-pound Turnkey projects in the aggregates sector for their blue-chip clients. They currently have over 200 employees involved in operational and supporting roles enabling them to deliver their business services. This includes their engineering graduates who they support throughout their studies, encouraging them with their career progression and development into the engineers of the future.

Job Description: The company are now looking to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer / Site Agent to work on project sites in the UK. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK but must be willing to work on project sites over the whole of the UK, working and traveling from home.

Key Duties:

  • Assisting with the project management on site, managing resources to comply with all health and safety standards
  • Setting out works on site with GPS and survey as built information
  • Bringing the technical knowledge of what is being delivered to the workforce on site
  • Ensuring the quality plan is followed and record data on site
  • Completing risk assessments / method statement for works on site
  • Reporting site progress in line with KPIs outlined
  • Updating and management of site programme for works
  • Working close with site quantity surveyor to monitor site costs and report value
  • Attending client meetings as required

Success Measures:

  • Works are carried out safely on site
  • Ensure good client and project team relationship
  • Building a relationship with our supply chain to emboss a team ethos

Skills & Experience:

  • SMSTS (Preferred)
  • CSCS card
  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
  • Must have extensive experience in a heavy civils earthworks and remediation environment
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • LSS/Trimble Business experience (Preferable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MS Office literate

Core Competencies:

  • Use of MS Office tools
  • Ability to work with own initiative and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and challenge yourself to improve daily
