An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller Team Leader to join a well-established company.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: Competitive Salary up to £60,000 PA, Depending on Experience.
Location: Worthing, West Sussex BN14.
About The Role:
Due to continued growth, the company is seeking a skilled Miller Team Leader to oversee their milling department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Miller who is ready to take the next step in their career, combining technical expertise with team leadership.
You will be responsible for leading the milling team, ensuring smooth workflow through the section, supporting and developing millers, and ensuring work is produced to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Alongside your leadership duties, you will remain hands-on with complex machining and be the go-to person for technical queries and problem-solving.
Main Responsibilities:
Supervise the milling department, coordinating workload across machines and personnel Support and mentor millers, sharing knowledge and best practices Provide guidance on programming, setting, and machining techniques Monitor quality standards and ensure deadlines are met Liaise with other departments to maintain smooth production flow Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions Remain hands-on with programming and setting when required
Candidate Requirements:
Extensive CNC milling experience, with programming and setting ability (Fanuc/Mazatrol) Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and develop others Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach Ability to manage workflow, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines Professional communication skills and a team-focused mindset Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be advantageous
