Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our clients dynamic cylinder workshop team. In this role, you will be responsible for stripping, assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic cylinders and equipment across various projects.
Duties:
- Strip down hydraulic cylinders
- Assess parts for wear or damage
- Provide clear job sheets for quoting
- Rebuild and test cylinders to a high standard
- Ensuring company procedures and policies are followed
Experience:
- Proven experience working on plant, site or manufacturing facilities as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
- A good understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and also operating power tools such as drills and grinders.
- Ability to use measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers accurately for quality control purposes.
- The ability to understand and complete handwritten job sheets for each job.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to fabrication dimensions or material quantities.
Working Hours: Permanent Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Overtime available
Holidays: 20 days holiday per year (to be accrued) plus bank holidays
