An excellent opportunity for an Experienced Cabinet Maker to join a well-established company based in Nelson.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Location: Nelson, Lancashire BB9

Salary: Competitive Salary From £14 PH, Depending on Experience.

About the Role:

The Cabinet maker will build and finish items of wooden furniture, within the Nelson factory. Examples of furniture that cabinet makers construct include tables, cabinets, chests of drawers, beds and wooden storage units. They understand design concepts and can work to deadlines.

The cabinet maker will use a wide range of hand-held and bench tools to cut and shape the wood, join pieces together and construct a final item. These tools include hand saws, hammers, files, sanders, routers, jigsaws, chisels, drills and band saws. They will work as a member of a team of 6 reporting to the shop foreman.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Good level of education.
  • Competency in using hand and power tools.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Being a fast learner.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management.
  • Having problem solving skills.
