Job Title: Accounts Assistant Salary: £13.00 p/h Hours: Flexible (24–30hrs p/w – to be agreed with successful candidate) Based: Kington, Herefordshire (HR5) We are recruiting for a proficient Accounts Assistant to join the accounts team, starting as soon as possible, reporting to the Finance Manager(s). You will be working for a well-known and well-respected manufacturing and electrical installation company servicing the water and waste-water sector, employing around 50 staff. Essential Skills and Experience * Sage accounting software (or equivalent) * General accountancy * Good communication skills including excellent telephone manner * Confidence in speaking to customers/suppliers * Microsoft Office including Word and Excel Desirable Skills and Experience * Eque2 construction software * AAT Level 2 in Accountancy or equivalent Main Duties and Responsibilities Inputting bills onto accounting software Eque2 posting to Sage accounts Customer invoicing Director’s expenses Directors’ mileage claims Assisting with bank reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are on the system Employee one off expenses Employee Barclaycard – credit card receipts Customer payments – inputting on Sage Creating contract numbers, updating customer files and relevant excel sheets Answering telephone calls Assist with year-end stock control Benefits 30 days paid holiday including statutory holidays plus additional holiday with length of service (pro rata) Pension Contribution Death in Service Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Pay Annual Bonus depending on Personal and Company Performance Training (in-house) will be provided if required Additional Information * Visa Sponsorship NOT offered so must have the right to work in the UK The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate based on race, religion, sexual orientation, age or disability.
