An opportunity within a well-established Fabrication and Sheetmetal company in Nelson, Lancashire.

The Company: Established in 2003, this family run Group employs approximately 35 employees. Their teams provide an all-round design, laser, fold, and fabrication service to a broad customer base. They are looking to expand by recruiting an experienced generalist to join a small friendly, experienced team in production support for the Fabrication Division.

About The Role:

  • Goods-In: Unloading of Vehicles using Forklift Truck
  • Receive orders and book-in
  • Check Quantity & Quality
  • Complete Paperwork
  • Update Computer Records
  • Raise non-conformance where appropriate
  • Label-up lengths
  • Steel Stock control
  • Fixings Stock Control (inserts/nuts/bolts etc.)
  • Workshop Assistance: Some cutting/inserting/drilling & tapping
  • Driving: Occasional run around driving (local machine shops/anodises/etc.)

Candidate Requirement:

  • Needs to be physically fit; there are manual elements i.e., loading and unloading and movement of stock throughout the factory.
  • FLT experience an advantage
  • Clean driving license (Aged 25+ for insurance).
  • Engineering background or knowledge of engineering parts a distinct advantage.
  • They are looking for a helpful individual with flair and experience in production support.

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 16:30, Friday 8:00am - 14:00. Overtime Available.

Starting Rate: £13.25 PH

30 Days Leave (+1 After 5 years) Company Overalls/Contributory Pension Scheme/Laundry Service/Staff Days Out.
