We are looking for a practical, reliable and flexible individual to join our clients team in a varied support role covering warehouse operations, driving duties and occasional business administration support. This is not simply a standard warehouse role. We are looking for somebody adaptable and dependable who enjoys variety in their working week and is willing to support different areas of the business as required.
About The Company:
They are an independent filtration and industrial supplies business serving customers across the UK and overseas. They supply filtration products, lubricants and associated equipment to industries including agriculture, construction machinery, industrial manufacturing, transport and engineering. They pride themselves on customer service, flexibility and maintaining a friendly, supportive working environment.
The Role:
The successful applicant will support day-to-day warehouse operations while also assisting with general business support tasks when required. Duties may include:
- Receiving and checking supplier deliveries
- Putting stock away accurately and maintaining warehouse organisation
- Picking, packing and preparing customer shipments
- Loading and unloading goods safely
- Operating forklift trucks and pallet handling equipment
- Assisting with local deliveries and collections
- Coordinating with warehouse and customer service staff to provide operational cover during holidays and absences
- Supporting the office with occasional administrative duties including invoice entry, filing and consumable purchasing
- General support across the business as required
Who We're Looking For:
This role would suit somebody who values flexibility and variety and is comfortable turning their hand to different tasks as needed. Ideally applicants will have:
- Previous warehouse or stores experience
- Forklift truck experience or certification
- A full UK driving licence
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer confidence and willingness to learn systems
- A practical, positive and team-focused attitude
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
Hours & Flexibility:
This role is offered on a flexible zero-hours basis. Typically, this would involve a minimum of approximately two days per week, although additional hours may be available depending on workload, holiday cover and operational requirements. During busier periods this may increase up to five days per week. This role may particularly suit somebody looking for flexible work rather than a fixed full-time position.
