Job Profile: The role is based from home and using a company van you will maintain the company’s own products at customers' sites across The Midlands and Central England. Candidates should be happy to work in an independent manner and organise their own work schedules. Candidates will ideally be situated in Leicester or Northampton. Candidates should be experienced in general mechanical engineering skills and a basic understanding of DC electrical circuits. Previous lift maintenance experience is not essential. The role will involve maintenance and service of our lifting equipment and occasional project work onsite carrying out new installations.
The Role:
- Responsible for preventative maintenance of the company’s range of goods lifts and cranes.
- A large proportion of these items are hoists used in pubs for delivering beer barrels through cellar hatches.
- Attending breakdowns on the same products.
- Set out work on site in accordance with RAMS issued.
- Liaise with the site manager or operator of the premises.
- Liaise with parts department to ensure correct stock levels in company van.
Candidate Specifications:
- In-depth mechanical experience including strong diagnostic skills.
- Experience with electro-hydraulic circuits useful but not essential.
- Use of computer apps to log on and off customer jobs.
- Early starts and flexibility required to beat the traffic.
- Good verbal, visual and written communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
