Job Description An excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established company.Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.Salary: £42,000 - £65,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.They are an established, independent HGV workshop providing professional maintenance and repair services to a wide range of commercial vehicle operators.The company are looking for an experiencedHGV Technicianto join their workshop team.About The Role:As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles.Key Duties:Routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenanceDiagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faultsFault finding using diagnostic equipment, including TEXA and JaltestMOT preparation and rectification workInvestigating and repairing vehicle defectsCarrying out repairs to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer and industry standardsCompleting service sheets and job documentation accuratelyWorking safely and maintaining a clean and professional working environmentWorking both independently and as part of a teamCandidate Requirements:Good knowledge of HGVs and commercial vehiclesStrong mechanical and diagnostic abilityExperience carrying out servicing, inspections and repairsThe ability to diagnose faults logically and efficientlyA professional attitude and pride in the quality of their workGood teamwork and communication skillsA self-motivated approach to their workGood attention to detail, particularly when completing vehicle and service documentationRelevant qualifications such as NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent are desirableWorking Hours:Week 1:Monday Friday, 7:00am 3:00pmWeek 2:Monday Friday, 12:00pm 8:00pmPlus:Saturday, 7:00am 12:00pmA£60 late shift bonusis paid for the late-shift week.Company Benefits:£42,000 £65,000 per annum , depending on experienceFortnightly pay£60 late shift bonus20 days annual holiday plus bank holidaysCompany pensionCompany eventsFree on-site parkingOngoing training and development opportunitiesThe Person:Most importantly, they are looking for someone whocares about doing the job properly.They want technicians who take pride in their workmanship, understand the importance of maintaining commercial vehicles to a high standard and in a timely manner.If you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.
