The Company:
They are a specialist electrical/mechanical contractor to the electrical supply industry and other large consumers of electricity. The company specialises in repair and refurbishment of power transformers and associated high voltage plant.
The Role:
We are looking for a qualified electrician to eventually work within small multi-skilled teams on high voltage (HV) substation projects throughout the UK.
This is a hands-on role that also requires attention to detail and is ideal for someone who enjoys varied electrical and some mechanical work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and participation in electrical works within HV substations
General electrical duties including
- Installation and termination of multi-core cabling
- Tray work and panel wiring
- Completing and maintaining project documentation
- Ensuring work is delivered to the highest standards
Additional Information:
- Most work involves working away from home
- Occasional weekend and bank holiday work may be required
- Transport, lodging allowance, and expenses are covered
- All necessary training will be provided
- Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress and carryout authorisation training for various UK electricity companies
Candidate Requirement:
- Must have previous electrical knowledge and experience
- Strong technical competence and broad trade knowledge
- Experience working on power transformers or within HV substations is advantageous but not essential
