Excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join a well-established company.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year depending on experience. Standby Payments for on call support - £20 per night + double time per call door to door, minimum 2 hours for 1st call. 1 week in 6. Travel time paid minus 30 minutes each way.

Job Description: They are a Fire, Security and Electrical contractors based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. They specialise in Installation, maintenance and commission of Fire alarms (BAFE accredited), Emergency lighting, Access control, Door entry, Intruder alarms, CCTV and all aspects of electrical work. The company prides itself on their excellent customer service and attention to detail and are looking for a self-motivated professional individual.

The role will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive service calls and small installs on a variety of Fire alarm, door entry, access control and security alarm systems. Knowledge of CCTV would be an advantage but not essential.

What we are looking for:

  • An industry specific accredited qualification (or working towards).
  • A very good understanding of BS5839-1.
  • Work on systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Be able to manage own workload and arrange appointments with customers.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Opportunities to gain manufacturer and industry qualifications.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles to a professional standard.
  • Good communication skills, be a Team player.
  • Flexible and available to participate in a call out rota.
  • You will need a valid full Driving Licence.
  • 3 years minimum experience.
