About The Company: They are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their close-knit team in Burton-on-Trent due to business expansion. The company produces a vast array of parts that cover numerous sectors within engineering, focusing on high value and technical parts predominantly out of exotic materials.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and optimise CNC programs using the machine controls; offline programming would be considered.
- Set up machines by selecting the correct work holding, tooling and approach to all jobs.
- Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges and thread gauges.
- Interpret and read first hand and third hand 2D drawings in Imperial and Metric.
- Work within a team and be flexible where needed through the business.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as an online CNC Programmer.
- Proficient in producing programs on Fanuc control.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Collaborate with production managers and other team members to maximise efficiency.
- Edit pre-written programs.
Preferred skills but not essential:
- Knowledge of working with exotic materials; duplex, Inconel, Titanium.
- Offline programming for future optimisation of business.
- Creating CAD drawings on AutoCAD or similar software.
- Programming both Milling and Turning.
- Knowledge of Doosan Machines.
