About The Role: The company is seeking to hire at least two dedicated Bench Joiners/Cabinet-Makers to join their team, offering full-time employment and/or self-employed position. The ideal candidates will have 5 years experience in woodworking and joinery/cabinetry, with the ability to fabricate and assemble high-quality cabinets and furniture. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various hand tools and machinery. Good knowledge in all materials and different types of wood. As a Cabinet Maker, you will play a crucial role in creating bespoke cabinetry that meets their clients' specifications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Fabricate cabinets and furniture according to design specifications and client requirements.
- Assemble components using appropriate joinery techniques to ensure durability and aesthetics.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed during the fabrication and installation processes.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood materials.
- Ensure all pieces are plumb, level, and properly aligned during assembly.
- Conduct painting or finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects (optional).
- On-site installations around London.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking role.
- Knowledge of joinery techniques and woodworking principles.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to cabinet making.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as required by the job.
- Familiarity with painting techniques for finishing wood surfaces is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
