Salary: Β£39,000 - Β£41,500 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

Job Description:

The company are seeking an experiencedFabrication Supervisorto join their team. This is a hands-on supervisory role with responsibility forfabrication, welding, workshop operations and site activities, alongside supporting management withprocurement and general office tasks.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in afabrication/welding or manufacturing environment, ideally with previous supervisory or management responsibility. You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day workshop activities, allocating labour, monitoring progress and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, to the required quality standard and within agreed deadlines.

Key Duties: Lead and coordinate day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring labour is planned and work is allocated effectively to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.

Convert orders into clearjob handovers and production priorities, ensuring the workshop team understands the required scope, sequence and deadlines.

Monitor staff output and job progress against programmes, allowed hours, delivery dates and customer requirements, taking appropriate action where progress is falling behind.

Oversee and coordinatecutting, drilling, fabrication, welding, painting, galvanising, yard operations, loading and transport.

Provide technical knowledge, guidance and intervention to ensure fabrication and welding work is completed to the required quality standards.

Review jobs in advance and identifymissing materials, drawings, approvals, specifications or other informationthat could delay production.

Help reduce avoidablere-work, omissions, incomplete loads and delivery failuresthrough effective planning and communication.

Coordinate with management, workshop staff, clients and suppliers to support effective project delivery.

Ensure safe working practices and company Health & Safety procedures are consistently followed across workshop, yard and site activities.

Assist with material and sundry procurement, stock control and general materials management , ensuring requirements are identified in good time.

Undertake occasional site work and travel as required.

Support management with general operational and administrative tasks where required.

Contribute positively to the development of the workshop team, processes and wider business.

Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in afabrication/welding workshop or manufacturing environment, with previoussupervisory or management responsibility.

Strong working knowledge ofwelding processes, procedures and quality standards.

Ability toread and interpret technical/fabrication drawings.

Strong understanding ofHealth & Safety within a manufacturing/workshop environmentand the ability to enforce safe systems of work.

Strongleadership, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and meet demanding deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with workshop operatives, management, clients and wider personnel.

Ability to plan and coordinate labour, materials and production priorities to ensure projects remain on schedule.

Good basic IT skills and the ability to assist with procurement and general office/management tasks.

FullUK driving licenceand willingness to travel for occasional site work as required. A strong work ethic, self-motivation, resilience, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively using your own initiative. A positive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach, with a commitment to supporting the continued development of the team and wider business.
