Job Description:
The company is looking for a skilled and reliable General Builder to join their growing team. You’ll work across a variety of residential and commercial projects, carrying out a broad range of building tasks to a high standard. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general building works, take pride in their workmanship, and be confident working both independently and as part of a team. Experience in multiple trades such as brickwork, plastering, basic joinery, and general refurbishment work is preferred.
Key Duties:
- Carry out a wide range of general building works including brickwork, blockwork, plastering, and basic joinery
- Assist with property refurbishments, extensions, and structural alterations
- Undertake demolition, site preparation, and finishing works
- Carry out repairs and maintenance across various projects
- Work from drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality
- Support and coordinate with other trades such as plumbers, electricians, and tilers
- Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and materials
- Keep a tidy, safe, and well-organised working environment at all times
- Follow site health & safety procedures and company standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a general builder within residential or commercial projects
- Good all-round knowledge of construction and building practices
- Ability to complete work to a high standard with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Full UK driving licence, own transport, and own tools essential
