Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Mon–Thu 8.30am–5pm, Fri 8.30am–4.30pm (39.5 hours/week)

Our team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our small, close-knit finance team. This role sits at the heart of our day-to-day finance operations, with a focus across sales ledger and purchase ledger, supporting on month-end accounting and reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Raising sales invoices and reconciling month-end documentation
  • Supporting credit control and keeping debtor records up to date
  • Purchase ledger — posting invoices, reconciling statements, processing expenses
  • Completing accruals, prepayments and contributing to monthly profitability reports
  • Banking reconciliations, inbox management and general finance administration
  • Supporting our finance team leader with a variety of finance tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced in a finance or accounts role — sales ledger and journals essential
  • Confident Sage user
  • Comfortable with month-end tasks including accruals and prepayments
  • Accurate, organised and able to juggle competing deadlines
  • A team player who takes ownership and communicates proactively
  • AAT qualified or working towards it — helpful but not essential
