A very wealthy private family is looking for a Private Chef who sees food as the basis of health, performance and longevity. You will cook for the family on your on weeks across their homes abroad, with full say over the menu.

What you'll do:

  • Plan, cook and serve every meal on duty weeks: breakfasts, lunches, dinners, daily baking, weekend desserts and functional snacks.
  • Design seasonal menus that change with each location and focus on gut health, with fermented foods, broths, tonics and adaptogenic ingredients.
  • Fit each dish to individual preferences, diets and sensitivities, using Ayurvedic principles where suitable.
  • Buy only the best organic and biodynamic produce, dealing directly with local farmers, markets and specialist suppliers in each location.

What you'll need:

  • Professional chef training and very high culinary standards.
  • A nutrition qualification, or long experience in functional and holistic nutrition.
  • Strong knowledge of fermentation, gut health and seasonal, regenerative sourcing.
  • Happy to travel internationally and work a rota.
  • Highly desirable: experience in UHNW private households, wellness retreats or longevity clinics. Knowledge of herbalism and traditional medicinal food would also help.

Why this role:

  • Full creative ownership. You write the menu and set the standard. Nobody else's menu, no head office.
  • Real time off. Every other week is entirely yours, which few senior kitchen jobs can offer.
  • Room to grow your craft. You'll be cooking in different climates and kitchens with the world's best produce, so your cooking keeps improving.
  • Lasting work. This is a long-term position with a family that puts wellness first, not a short contract.
