An established London corporate caterer is hiring a Sales & Marketing Director to build and lead its sales function and drive the next phase of growth. This is a senior commercial appointment reporting directly to the CEO, alongside the Operations Director.
The role
- You will own new business and commercial growth end to end:
- Winning office catering and corporate hospitality contracts across the City
- Targeting livery companies and corporate clients, and securing new venue partnerships
- Leading tenders and identifying new commercial opportunities
- Growing and retaining existing client relationships
- Building the CRM, pipeline, and sales infrastructure from the ground up
- Recruiting and structuring the sales team as the business scales
This is hands-on commercial leadership. You will personally open doors, get in front of decision makers, and win the work while building the systems and standards that make the growth repeatable.
What you will need
- A proven track record of winning new business in London corporate catering, contract catering, or premium events
- Experience building or significantly scaling a sales function, including CRM and pipeline systems
- Strong knowledge of City corporate clients, livery companies, and venue networks
- Direct experience of tendering and an understanding of what corporate clients expect from caterers
- The commercial standing to operate credibly at Director level with a CEO
Why this role
You build the function, you are not inheriting someone else's. There is no senior commercial leadership in place today, which means the structure, systems, standards, and team are yours to shape from the start. The CEO has set the direction and committed the operational support, kitchen capacity, and marketing activity to back it so your focus stays on winning work, not fighting for the means to do it. A meaningful commission and bonus structure is tied directly to the growth you deliver, in a business with serious ambition and the resources to match it.
