We are seeking a Payroll Administrator on a full time, permanent basis, site based on the South Shropshire/Worcestershire border. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and knowledge of payroll legislation.

What you can expect:

  • Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although candidates seeking 30 hours per week are encouraged to apply
  • Site based
  • Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and process the multi-site weekly and monthly payroll for all employees in accordance with deadlines
  • Ensure accuracy of salary calculations, deductions, benefits, overtime, and allowances
  • Maintain compliance with tax, pension, and other statutory requirements
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to finance and management
  • Year-End Balancing & Reporting
  • Respond promptly to payroll-related queries from employees
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations
  • Prepare regular payroll reports for management

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing
  • Good knowledge of payroll legislation
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience using Sage payroll software, preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel)
