We are seeking a Payroll Administrator on a full time, permanent basis, site based on the South Shropshire/Worcestershire border. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and knowledge of payroll legislation.
What you can expect:
- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
- Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although candidates seeking 30 hours per week are encouraged to apply
- Site based
- Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
What you will be doing:
- Prepare and process the multi-site weekly and monthly payroll for all employees in accordance with deadlines
- Ensure accuracy of salary calculations, deductions, benefits, overtime, and allowances
- Maintain compliance with tax, pension, and other statutory requirements
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to finance and management
- Year-End Balancing & Reporting
- Respond promptly to payroll-related queries from employees
- Ensure compliance with labour laws
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations
- Prepare regular payroll reports for management
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in payroll processing
- Good knowledge of payroll legislation
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience using Sage payroll software, preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel)
