We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Hereford-based business seeking a proactive and detail-focused Operations Coordinator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity for a customer focused candidate with warehousing and logistics knowledge to play a key role in contributing to the business\’ wider operational improvements.
What you can expect:
- Salary: £28,000 – £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Free hot and cold lunches provided daily
- Discretionary company bonus scheme
What you will be doing:
- Manage all UK-based logistics
- Liaise with all our UK-based couriers, managing daily manifests, delivery queries, etc.
- Work with the cross-functional teams to act as facilitator and communicator of customer complaints and escalations
- Work with the compliance team to accurately record and detail customer complaints and escalations.
- Manage, record and report on wholesale/dispatch related errors and non-conformances
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives on cost and service, maintaining strict SLAs with UK-based freight-forwarders and carriers
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, production and warehousing operations to ensure smooth coordination of shipments
- Act as the key point of contact for customer complaints, escalations and queries.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in logistics and warehousing
- Proven experience in a customer facing role
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage complex documentation requirements
- A collaborative team-player
- Experience in a construction related industry is a bonus, but not essential
- IT/Systems knowledge is a must
