Our current Temp Desk Lead is hanging up their recruitment hat and heading into a well-earned retirement at the end of Summer \’25! Before they go, we want to bring in a new team member to learn the Recruitment Direct ropes, soak up their wisdom, and be fully prepared to take the reins. This is a rare opportunity to learn from the best, and step into a key role with plenty of support and training!
As Operations and Recruitment Lead, you ll oversee the temp recruitment operations, ensuring our clients get the right candidates and our processes are seamless. You ll need to be a proactive and intuitive people person with a flair for sales to grow the temp desk within the commercial and industrial markets.
This is a role for someone who loves a challenge, can think on their feet, and knows how to keep both clients and candidates happy!
What you can expect:

Salary: circa £30,000 – £35,000, depending on experience

Permanent and full time, Monday to Friday, 9am 5pm with an hour for lunch

Bonus structure based on temp desk revenue

Generous commission structure for perm desk placements

22 days annual leave plus an additional day for your birthday plus statutory holidays

Leominster central location with parking (minimal cost)

Responsibility for the emergency out of hours mobile shared amongst the temp desk team

Over time, take on more responsibilities, including mentoring junior team members and contributing to strategic decision-making
A day in the life:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the temp desk, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently

Supported by an administrator, as a key point of contact for clients and candidates, handling queries, bookings, and last-minute requests

Coordinating temp placements, ensuring we always have top talent available to our clients

Building and maintaining relationships with both clients and candidates

Spotting opportunities to boost efficiency, work with more clients, and attract more candidates

Overseeing compliance and payroll processes

Keeping cool under pressure when the unexpected happens because in temp recruitment, it always does!
What we are looking for:
