Overview
Logistics Operative
We are working with a respected Hereford based client for a Logistics Operative on a part time, permanent basis. This role is responsible for supporting the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse and dispatch function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to health and safety standards.
What You Can Expect
- Hourly rate: £13.50
- Hours: Part time circa 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am-1pm
- A hands-on logistics role within a fast-paced manufacturing business.

What You Will Be Doing
- Picking and packing items for dispatch, preparing shipping labels, and ensuring orders are securely packaged.
- Coordinating outbound shipments, confirming orders, and liaising with freight carriers and brokers.
- Handling documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and maintaining electronic shipping files using an ERP system.
- Communicating with customers to provide order confirmations and respond to shipment enquiries.
- Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Working closely with supervisors and colleagues to achieve targets and resolve logistical issues.
- Completing daily and weekly activities such as processing open orders, adhering to housekeeping schedules, and attending toolbox talks.
- Participating in H&S checks, bi-monthly meetings, and training courses.
What We Are Looking For
- Prior experience in a similar role across Warehouse or Production
- Ability to work in an organised, accurate, and safe manner.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to good housekeeping and maintaining a productive working environment.
- A good understanding of health and safety in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Willingness to support continuous improvement activities.
- Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
