We are working with an established engineering company in Rural Leominster seeking an Office Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and adaptable individual to provide day-to-day administrative and operational support across this growing, innovative business. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the existing administration team, engineers, management team and wider business. The successful candidate will be someone with a can-do attitude who is happy to get involved, take ownership and support wherever needed, rather than being restricted to a defined list of responsibilities. They will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working collaboratively with colleagues and helping to keep the business running smoothly. What you can expect: * Salary: £28,350 per annum * Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible working hours as long as 40 hours are worked) * Site based in north Leominster with parking, and plans in place to build a new, modern office nearby in 2027 * Annual leave: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays * Discretionary bonus based on company performance * NEST pension * 2 stage interview process What you will be doing: * Manage day-to-day office activities, calls, email, filing, on-site visitor meeting preparation, office supplies, and maintaining an organised working environment * Support our engineering team with sourcing products and components, obtaining quotations, raising and tracking purchase orders, monitoring deliveries and lead times, reconciling orders and collecting supplier invoices * Liaise confidently with suppliers, contractors and service providers, coordinating repairs, installations, maintenance and other requirements across business * Arrange UK and international shipments, including obtaining freight quotations and liaising with couriers, logistics providers and Customs where necessary * Help maintain appropriate stock levels of workshop, 3D printing, office and general consumables and support the team with the upkeep of the site * Maintain records of equipment inspections, servicing and compliance checks and coordinate scheduled maintenance e.g. fire extinguishers, compressors, etc. * Assist with straightforward day-to-day technology requirements and liaise with the external IT providers who manage the day-to-day IT infrastructure * Provide support for educational events, liaising with schools, sponsors, suppliers, media and event partners and coordinating the tasks required for the event What we are looking for: * Previous experience in general office administration is essential * Good IT skills are essential * Confident communicator, with a professional and helpful approach * Own transport will be essential due to the location * We are looking for someone who is organised, resourceful, flexible and proactive, with a genuine can-do attitude. You will be someone who sees what needs doing and gets involved, rather than waiting to be asked * A strong team player who is happy to support colleagues across different areas of the business and understands that priorities can change from day to day * Someone who takes ownership of their work, uses their initiative and sees tasks through to completion, while being willing to step outside their usual responsibilities when the wider business requires support * Someone who enjoys variety and is able to prioritise effectively, manage competing demands and remain positive when things don't always go to plan Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and this advert may close early.
