Accounts Assistant Our north Herefordshire based client requires an Accounts Assistant to join them on a temporary basis – circa 3-month. The main purpose of this role will be to assist the Finance Manager with the smooth running of the reporting team. Manage tasks in such a way as to achieve accuracy and timeliness of data to inform month-end reporting. In addition to the dedicated tasks detailed below, assist with providing pastural care and technical support to the finance apprentices. What you can expect: * Annual salary: £35’000 * Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4.30pm – Monday – Friday * 33 days holidays including bank holidays * Temporary – 3 months * Collaborative and Hardworking team What you will be doing: * Input daily banking information onto Dynamics, allocating customer payments to relevant sales invoices * Support the payroll clerk with processing of weekly cash expense claims * Raise sales invoices and send to relevant customers * Manage invoices relating to company fleet vehicles ensure relevant authorisation of invoices * Allocate invoices against DD payments and resolve queries. * Liaise with the HR team to manage recovery of vehicle penalty notices from relevant employees in a timely manner. * Liaise with the purchase ledger clerk to manage supplier BACS runs as well as ad-hoc bank payments and foreign currency payments * Enter purchase ledger banking information, ensuring correct coding * Provide a weekly cash flow analysis for the wider Finance team * Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as necessary, including accrual journals, statement reconciliations, and order processing. * To generally assist in the smooth running of the department and assist the financial manager as necessary What we are looking for: * Progressive and extensive finance/ accountancy experience within a similar role * Prior management experience would be an advantage * Relevant accounting qualifications essential * Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft Office programs * Strong administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, meet deadlines and maintain a high attention to detail * Excellent communicator with internal and external stakeholders Recruitment Direct are working as employment agency in relation to this vacancy, you must be able to prove your legal right to work in the UK to apply
