Operating within the produce sector, our client is seeking a Commercial Account Manager on a Full time, Permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of key customer accounts while driving commercial performance. The position will suit an individual with strong customer relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. What You Can Expect * Competitive salary disclosed on application * Full time, Permanent basis * Monday – Friday Office hours, onsite in rural Herefordshire with a requirement for flexibility in line with business needs – one weekend in three for management cover – remotely * A customer-facing role with full responsibility for managing and developing key accounts- routine Travel will be a requirement * Working closely with senior stakeholders to achieve budgeted commercial performance. * Exposure to a fast-moving and dynamic produce environment. * The opportunity to build trusted, long-term relationships with retail and commercial partners. * A culture that values resilience, openness, and ethical practices. What You Will Be Doing * Managing and overseeing key customer accounts, including monitoring supply performance against budgets and KPIs. * Developing and maintaining strong, productive relationships with customers while instilling confidence in the supply partnership. * Managing all elements of pricing, complaints, and query resolution. * Ensuring customer requests (promotions, delivery schedules, specifications, amendments, labelling etc.) are actioned efficiently and accurately. * Communicating effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery. * Preparing internal and external reports and presentations as required. * Supporting the formulation of the annual commercial budget. * Ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory rules, and procedures. What We Are Looking For * Strong experience in managing key customer accounts, ideally within produce, food, or FMCG. * Proven commercial focus with the ability to deliver against targets and budgets. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the confidence to influence at all levels. * Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and persuasive manner. * Ability to build trust and credibility with both customers and internal teams. * Good business sense with experience in reporting, budgeting, and commercial decision-making. * Previous experience in the produce sector is highly advantageous.
