An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing client business based in Hereford. This role will be on a full-time permanent basis supporting the ongoing maintenance and reliability of site machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and safe, efficient operations across the production facility.
- 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays

- Monday to Friday on a rotational shift pattern of mornings and afternoons
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and equipment
- Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults
- Conducting routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
- Supporting installation of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Scheduling maintenance activities and repairs
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Supporting general site maintenance and building upkeep
- Assisting with contractor control and on-site works
- Producing costed lists for planned maintenance or improvement work
- Ensuring high standards of housekeeping within the maintenance function
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a maintenance or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of process or production equipment
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability
- Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent) desirable
- Formal engineering or maintenance qualification advantageous
- Experience within plastics or PVC manufacturing would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance
