My client is looking for an influential and experienced travel sales manager for a minimum of nine months. In the role, you must lead by example by setting high standards of performance and driving your team's sales. Your team will organise tailor-made trips for clients all around the world. We need a manager that is looking for a challenge, is very hands-on, and is target-driven. You will be managing a team of 15 sales consultants in the U.K and abroad. You will need to drive the change in behaviour of the team by maximising profit for the company and driving sales forward to reach/exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities
- To positively drive change in behaviour of key sales staff to enhance the tour operator side of the business.
- To proactively drive business and advise on the most profitable ways of fulfilling customer requirements.
- To maximise sales turnover/profitability of key partner products through effective management of the sales team.
- To ensure the team is dealing with all enquiries in a professional manner to provide high-quality service to all customers.
- Coach, develop, and train teams and individuals.
- Provide structured coaching sessions.
- Ensure staff attendance at allocated training sessions.
- Motivate individuals/team to perform their roles, achieve targets, and develop teamwork and flexibility.
- Manage team and individuals to maximise sales.
- Set targets and review performance to achieve objectives.
- Meet with each member monthly to discuss performance and targets.
- Control all relevant costs; keep the monetary value of errors to a minimum.
- Monitor actual team and individual achievement against budget.
- Work closely with the Management Team to ensure targets are met and exceeded, achieving the highest profit margins, especially during slow months.
Skills/Experience Needed

- Experience working in a tour operator environment.
- Experience in making sales and managing simultaneously / hands-on approach.
