My client, a leading travel company, is looking for a Software Engineer with at least one year of commercial experience to join the development services team in the Software development department. The role encompasses a significant amount of hands-on development and troubleshooting to help the department and company achieve its objectives. The role will primarily involve the maintenance and enhancement of C++ and C#/ASP.NET code, both written in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 development environment. This role will be based in the Software development department, though close collaboration will be required with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The role is suited to someone who has a keen interest in problem-solving with strong communication skills and favors an inquisitive, enthusiastic, driven, and self-motivated individual. The selected candidate will get the opportunity to work throughout the extensive product and gain significant experience of C++ and C# in an enterprise-level application within an agile working environment.
Responsibilities:
- A significant aspect of this role will be focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in complex areas of the product.
- Investigating and addressing queries from various internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing new areas of the core product.
- Some responsibilities may occasionally need to be conducted outside of normal office hours.
