Our client has an exciting role for a Ski Sales Consultant responsible for maximising sales to all worldwide ski destinations. You will deliver all holiday experiences of the highest standard in terms of service, attention to detail, and knowledge. You must be a passionate sales person with experience in tailor-making ski holidays and/or events management. Our client will offer a competitive salary, an incentive package, educational trips, and the opportunity to develop and extend your skills and responsibilities.
You must maximise sales (income and passenger numbers) for all divisions in line with business targets, ensuring quick responses to telephone calls, high standards of customer care, and accurate data entry. Working within a specialist team, your objective is to personally ‘account handle’ some of our key clients, with a particular focus on proactive sales and exceptional customer service ensuring customer retention and early bookings shaping future revenue results.
Responsibilities:- Respond to all sales enquiries and reservations with accuracy and speed.
- As part of the key account team, contribute to the improvement of account management and retention of loyal clients through excellent customer service, attention to detail, and superior resort and product knowledge.
- Responsible for making proactive sales calls to key account clients from our database with the objective of customer retention and shaping revenue KPIs.
- In-house expert for all non-standard 7-night European package enquiries, including weekend breaks, corporate trips, large groups, tailor-made holidays, and signature guests.
- Devising highly-detailed itineraries for clients with superb attention to detail.
- Year-round account management of your client portfolio to ensure customer retention.
- Responsible for accurately pricing holidays within department guidelines and the accurate booking of all aspects of the client’s holiday.
- Maintain high levels of product knowledge for all programmes, including our chalets, self-catering, and hotel accommodation.
- Act as a senior member of the team supervising the sales team on late and weekend shifts (training provided).
- Responsible for responding to clients using the online sales dialogue feature through the website in line with company standards and agreed timescales.
- Help prepare for and attend ski shows and other promotional events to generate additional sales leads.
- Experienced in worldwide ski sales – 2 years +.
- Tailor-making holiday experience of the highest standard – comprehensive itineraries.
- Proven experience in proactive sales and the ability to maintain relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An articulate telephone manner.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure very high levels of customer service.
- An experienced sales person who is “Sales Hungry” and highly motivated by sales achievement.
- Target-focused and forward-thinking.
- A positive attitude with a natural ability to overcome challenges.
- GDS experience with long-haul flights (Galileo, Amadeus, or Worldspan) is preferred.
- Previous event management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the ski travel industry.
