KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE: To provide an excellent business travel service and develop existing accounts. Predominantly media-based business travel accounts, some household names, operating in a ‘now’ environment. Regular business travel consultants are not just what is required for this role. Due to the nature of the clients, this role requires a high level of industry knowledge and experience in order to handle the versatility, flexibility, and commanding levels required. Entrepreneurial skills are a must. Being able to work closely with important PAs and Senior Management is imperative as integrating into their lifestyle and a ‘now’ environment. A fast-moving, innovative, and proactive company requires a similar likeminded person to help manage and develop its business travel. Of course, with this comes an exciting and rewarding place to work and thrive.
Senior Business Travel & Events Executive Duties:
- To provide a highly responsive business travel service.
- Creative ticketing, estimates, and information through Sabre or third-party partners Galileo accordingly.
- To manage and update business travel client profiles, keep records, and business travel diaries.
- To understand the clients' business travel & event needs and our systems and processes.
- To create and maintain good relationships with clients, airlines, and hotels.
- To offer a VIP Concierge style service, check in with VIPs.
- To assist with transport, passport, and visa requirements.
- To arrange bill-backs, negotiate group bookings.
- To manage and assist on Conference and Event bookings (may involve some escorted travel).
- To assist in sourcing new travel partners i.e., consolidators, etc., in order to benefit the healthy growth of the company.
- Developing and nurturing business.
- Maintain and establish great working relationships with the business travel clients to help develop the service profitably but with an eye on delivering value to the client.
- Deal with travel-related admin and assist finance.
