Job Title – Product Executive – Indian Subcontinent and South America

Job Location – London

Salary – £20k – £22k

Our client is recruiting a Product Executive who will be working closely with the South America and Indian Subcontinent Product Managers.

Your role is to support all product functions and drive the commercial effectiveness of the product range.

The role will include the co-ordination of stop over programmes in Dubai, Hong Kong, Macao and Singapore as well as assistance launching a new Central Asia programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in the product development process with particular regard to commercial viability, meeting customer demand and anticipating operational implications.
  • Coordinate and communicate itinerary alterations and other product changes to relevant parties within the business both in the UK and globally.
  • Follow up with suppliers on customer feedback and support the Customer Relations team as required for the South America and Indian Subcontinent products.
  • Maintain product information and documents related to the product ranges, this will involve the administration of planning sheets, final itineraries and tour dossiers.
  • Liaise with relevant suppliers for specific requests made by the UK sales team.
  • Provide full assistance with the production of all relevant client documentation, including reviewing copy, checking the accuracy and appropriateness of information, liaising with the design team and proof reading.
  • Oversee the effective use of flight allocation for the South America product ensuring that all seats are released, and all reservations are in-order to limit any liability
  • Liaise with the Product Manager and Aviation team for any updates
  • Work with the South America and Indian Subcontinent Product Managers to deliver training programmes to the reservations team and other parts of the business when required.
  • Carry out regular analysis of competitors’ products and keep up to date with trends
  • Work with internal departments on ad-hoc projects as required to ensure the accuracy of product information, including supporting the yearly brochure production process.
  • Be positive and flexible to assist with other aspects of the product department when necessary.
  • Be positive in undertaking any reasonable duties relevant to the position to ensure the success of the department.
  • Continually develop personal knowledge and expertise, be pro-active and work with autonomy.
  • Actively collaborate with other departments on all elements of the product mix.
  • Be on hand to answer any queries for the Sales team as required.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy and systems orientated
  • Proven writing skills, including ability to accurately proof and develop brochures and other customer literature
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High energy, positive “can do “spirit and strong team ethic
  • Culturally astute with preferably a good knowledge of South America or the Indian Subcontinent
  • Aptitude to learn various reservations systems
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with flexible working hours
  • Competency using Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications
