My client, a leading travel company, is looking for an IT Specialist to join the ever-growing IT department. Your time will be spent configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the servers in our data centre from which we deliver our software to our customers over the Internet. Along with the responsibility for server infrastructure, your role will entail ensuring the stability of all the active customer applications and databases in the data centre and applying upgrades to key software.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the servers and databases in our data centre in London including:
- Installing/configuring/patching Windows 2003/2008/2012
- Installing/configuring/patching Citrix Xenserver and Xenapp
- Installing/configuring/patching Citrix Netscaler
- Installing/configuring/patching IIS 7.5
- Installing/configuring/patching MS SQL server 2008/2014
Key Skills/Experience Needed:
- Self-motivated and capable of working successfully under minimal supervision.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Able to thrive in a small, fast-moving, fluid, and demanding organization.
- Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in other languages desirable.
