Our client is a globally recognised and award-winning tour operator, offering holidays to Asia and South America. They have over 25 years in the travel sector. The Digital Marketing Manager is one of the key positions in the company. You will play a key role in managing and driving online business whilst constantly making improvements to conversion metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Grow company’s online business by strong acquisition and retention to meet the demands of maintaining the number 1 position as specialist tour operator and expanding into the fully automatic dynamic package market.
- Create and own the company digital strategy.
- Search engine optimization: create a SEO strategy, working with external SEO agency to improve our Google ranking and achieve number 1 for our major destinations.
- Work closely with the Digital Product Manager to create and implement a content and social strategy to further improve SEO results.
- Paid search: manage and drive performance of PPC (search/retargeting/display/programmatic) alongside external agency.
- Paid social: run paid social campaigns on Facebook driving conversion and engagement metrics.
- Affiliates: drive and grow bookings through affiliate network both in-house and by agency.
- Email marketing: utilise our e-CRM system to segment customers, setting up and manage automated emails by our email platform, to grow customer base and online bookings.
- Reporting: provide weekly and monthly reporting of the performance of digital channels.
- P&L responsibility for all digital campaigns, measure and report on each and continue to improve ROI.
- Track monthly spending within the team, and quarterly with finance team.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- 5+ years digital marketing experience.
- Proven track record of growing business online by delivering a programme of online conversion improvements and quality reach.
- Experience in running digital advertising in Google AdWords and Facebook Ads with proven strong ROI.
- Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics that can help to drive conversion, volume and sales.
- Strong analytical skills to improve metric reports and drive results.
- Extensive SEO knowledge, to improve organic ranking.
- Track record with increasing online conversion for big ticket items a plus.
- Travel industry experience a strong advantage.
- A team player with excellent communication and relationship skills.
- Strong organisational skills to deliver multiple projects to deadline and budget.
- Strong level of attention to detail.
- A hands-on ‘doer’, good follow-up and a completer.
