Our client is recruiting a Lead Nurse to promote, counsel, inform and prepare patients, in accordance with company values and agreed business ratios. Our client is one of the UK’s leading Cosmetic Surgery groups and has established a reputation for excellence within the field of aesthetic plastic surgery and Laser & Skin Treatments which is second to none.
In the role you will help clients gain access to cosmetic surgery, laser hair removal or aesthetic procedures by referral to a surgeon or nurse therapist. Another part of the role is to carry out non-surgical treatments and laser hair removal.
Key Responsibilities:- POTENTIAL BUSINESS
- Achieve personal targets as agreed with the Clinic Manager
- Follow up patients previously consulted
- Promote the values of group in a positive manner
- Maintain competitor awareness to support effective patient communication
- PATIENT CARE
- Counsel and treat patients
- Administer laser and/or aesthetic treatments and procedures at an advanced level
- Deliver pre & post treatment care and advice at an advanced level
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with specific cosmetic procedure manuals and protocols (inclusive of surgery, laser hair removal and non-surgical treatments)
- Ensure surgeon’s protocol, care pathway and directions are followed and report any variance to surgeon
- Document all patient interventions and store records securely
- Chaperone patients during surgeon’s consultation appointments
- Ensure patient confidentiality
- QUALITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT
- Ensure compliance with company policies (health and safety, COSHH, risk assessment, fire regulations, infection control, decontamination, adverse events & complaints – this includes the professional management & monitoring by you of any complaint)
- Promote quality care and service through the use of best practice
- Research, initiate and evaluate new ideas to foster continuous improvement
- OTHER TASKS & DUTIES
- Management and processing of clinic ordering, invoicing, deliveries, stock checks
- Patient complaints
- Utilise agreed company protocols, policies and procedures and pathways for effective service to patients
- Responsible for achieving personal sales targets
- Responsible for personal continual education, training and development
- Accept payment for treatments provided, where necessary
- Book follow-on appointments
- There is a requirement to provide cover for other clinics should the need arise
- TRAINING AND GOVERNANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Successfully complete the Lead training LMS sessions, Train the trainer and assessors training
- Attend Lead meetings and conference calls, delivering resulting messages, updates and education to colleagues as required
- Deliver clinical training and carry out assessments for new and existing team members as per Governance Manual ‘Clinical training & assessment schedule; thus promoting the highest standard of clinical care
- Undertake the role of clinic Laser Protection Supervisor (unless otherwise allocated by Clinic Manager)
- Undertake the role of the Infection Control Link Nurse/ Person (unless otherwise allocated by Clinic Manager)
- Manage and report to Clinic Manager on clinical adverse incidents in line with adverse incident policy.
- Attendance on the Governance Manual LMS training sessions.
- Support the Clinic Manager in any/all governance activities as detailed in the Governance Manual
