My client is recruiting a Contract Executive to join their successful team to build supplier relationships. You will undertake purchasing tasks working towards buying at the best possible rates around Europe to maximise profits for the company.

The team that work in the department are highly dynamic and are committed to providing the best value experience.

You must have knowledge and experience of the travel sector around Europe, as a major part of the role is negotiation with hotels, airlines, and companies that provide transport.

You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a cheerful, standout telephone manner.

The Contract Executive role will be ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their travel career and has experience of ad-hoc negotiations.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation of existing and new hotel allocation
  • Deal with terms and conditions and sourcing new properties
  • Work with a wide range of travel suppliers such as hotels, restaurants, attractions, and tourist bodies
  • Provide feedback of accurate and competitive tariff rates for hotels
  • Create and maintain accurate hotel lists/contact lists
  • Respond to ad-hoc purchasing requests ensuring the best possible rates
  • Negotiate non-contracted suppliers in key locations
  • Negotiate and book space to be sold for events
  • Achieve targets set in terms of allocation buying
  • Build and maintain relations with suppliers
  • Develop product knowledge by participating in relevant FAM trips and undertaking visits
