As a Sales Team Leader you will be responsible for selling car rental to excited holiday makers and also upgrading the car rental that is already booked online. In the role you will upgrade the car to a luxury car, offer better insurance than already booked, offer child and baby seats and upsell satellite navigation so the clients don’t get lost on their holiday. The role is in a new cabin situated in the long stay car park at Southampton Airport. Your customers will be getting on the long stay bus to come see you to rent their cars for their holiday. Due to you working alone you will need to be good at self-managing and be confident organising the fleet of cars. In the role you will ensure the station achieves revenue targets with regards to both volume and RPD. They need you to ensure that the station achieves contribution targets ensuring all processes and costs are in line with the low cost model.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell products and services to achieve station targets.
- Target, monitor and develop staff to achieve station sales targets.
- Promote brand both internally and externally.
- Support any local marketing / promotional activities within agreed spend levels.
- Liaise with RCM, Optimization Manager to ensure fleet levels are in line with demand and planned levels.
- Ensure effective damage reporting to minimize unnecessary repair costs to our company.
- Ensure effective maintenance and service levels within agreed targets to maximize safety standards.
- Ensure effective monitoring of vehicle preparation in line with the low cost model.
- Ensure the safety and security of staff, customers, premises, vehicles, cash and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.
- Ensure all station administration is completely accurate according to operating procedures, and all deadlines are met.
- Organize staff working shifts to keep costs in line with agreed budgets.
Key Skills/Experience Needed:
- Have previous experience as a Sales Consultant or Sales Executive.
- Able to demonstrate excellent sales skills.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
