Our client is recruiting an account manager to work as a member of the sales team to achieve and exceed an agreed annual booking margin target by developing new business. You will be working for a luxury travel company that has established a reputation for delivering absolute excellence in everything they do. Ideally, they require an account manager with experience in the Indian Ocean, Middle East, or the Caribbean. You must have a great personality to build a client database. In this role, you will manage all clients effectively while exceeding expectations in service and attention to detail. You will be responsible for brochure product and booking with 3rd Party Tour Operators on retail bookings.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 09:00-17:30 / 09:30-18:00 Saturdays: 09:30-16.30 5 days a week: including a minimum of one Saturday per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all reservation enquiries from new Private Sales leads in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls promptly, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Process reservations, using negotiated rates as the first priority.
  • Negotiate deals with hotels on an ad-hoc basis over and above contracted rates and tactical offers to secure bookings.
  • Process own bookings, i.e., create booking in the automated system, responsible for creating quotes and special requests.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Manager to develop new business.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing new markets.
  • Provide feedback on the success of new sales channels.

Key Skills:

  • An accomplished sales professional with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Specialist knowledge of the Caribbean, Indian Ocean & Middle East.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of deluxe hotels in the above destinations.
  • Minimum 5 years of Retail / Tour operating experience.
  • Must have commercial acumen with attention to the bottom line.
  • Ability to create FITs by buying through 3rd party Operators.
  • Articulate, well-organized, and able to represent the brand confidently.
  • Working knowledge of Amadeus.
