As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Take full commercial responsibility for multiple planned maintenance, refurbishment and retrofit contracts
- Lead, mentor and develop Quantity Surveyors, Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Graduates and Trainees
- Manage CVRs, WIP, forecasting, cost control, cash flow and commercial risk
- Oversee tendering, subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts
- Work closely with operational teams to protect margins and improve contract performance
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate commercial reporting and KPI performance
- Visit sites regularly to ensure commercial information reflects operational delivery
What we're looking for:
- At least five years Quantity Surveying experience
- Experience within social housing, planned works, refurbishment, property services or retrofit
- Previous responsibility for multiple contracts or high-volume workstreams
- Strong knowledge of CVRs, WIP, forecasting and cost reporting
- Experience managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
- Strong commercial negotiation and client-management skills
- Confidence leading and developing junior commercial staff
- Full UK driving licence
- A BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of JCT, NEC or SBCC contracts, measurement software and advanced Excel would also be beneficial.
