Are you an experienced Passive Fire Operations Manager, Fire Contracts Manager or Fire Commercial Manager ready to take ownership of an established regional operation?

We are recruiting for a Lead Operations Manager to lead a successful Fire North West branch based in Warrington.

This is a high-profile leadership opportunity with responsibility for an established passive fire operation delivering approximately £2 million of secured annual work.

You will inherit an experienced delivery team, a well-developed operational structure and long-term contracts with local authorities and housing associations.

Your role will be to provide visible leadership, commercial control and clear direction, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, compliantly and profitably while developing the team and strengthening client relationships.

This is not an operation that needs to be built from scratch.

The secured work, team and support structure are already in place.

The business now needs a strong leader who can take full ownership and drive the branch through its next stage of development.

The Opportunity

As Lead Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational and commercial performance of the Fire North West branch.

The branch delivers passive fire protection programmes including

  • Fire door installation and replacement
  • Fire door remedial works
  • Fire stopping
  • FRA-led programmes
  • Long-term social housing and public-sector compliance contracts
  • Most projects are located within approximately one hour of Warrington, providing a strong base of local, secured work.
  • You will lead a multidisciplinary team that includes operational, commercial, site, compliance and delivery professionals, alongside directly employed operatives and accredited subcontractors.

About You

This opportunity would suit an experienced

  • Passive Fire Operations Manager
  • Fire Protection Operations Manager

  • Head of Operations

You will ideally have experience delivering passive fire protection contracts for local authorities, housing associations or social housing providers.

Experience of fire door installation, fire door replacement, fire door remedials, fire stopping or FRA-led contracts will be highly relevant.

You do not need to be a fire engineer or technical regulatory specialist.

The priority is finding a strong operational leader who understands how passive fire contracts should be delivered safely, compliantly and profitably.

You should be able to demonstrate

  • Strong operational leadership
  • Passive fire protection experience
  • Experience managing multiple live contracts
  • Commercial forecasting and budget responsibility
  • Margin and profitability management
  • Leadership of operational and commercial teams
  • Direct labour and subcontractor management
  • Strong client relationship management
  • Health and safety accountability
  • A track record of improving performance

Why Apply?
