Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm Friday: 7:30am–1:00pm The Role As a Class 1 TIG Welder / Fabricator , you'll produce high-quality welded and fabricated components for technically demanding, bespoke engineering projects. This is varied, project-led work involving different materials, fabrications and engineering challenges rather than repetitive production welding. Your responsibilities will include: TIG welding and fabricating components from engineering drawings Reading and interpreting isometric, fabrication and engineering drawings Working accurately with both metric and imperial measurements Preparing materials through cutting, sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending and threading Carrying out Class 1 / ISO 3834 welding and fabrication Reading and working to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Producing fillet, lap, corner and butt welds Working in accordance with ASME IX and ISO 15614 Working with carbon steel, stainless steel and high-nickel alloys Supporting components through X-ray and radiographic inspection Maintaining high standards of quality, workmanship and safety Supporting wider engineering projects in the UK and potentially overseas What We're Looking For Previous Class 1 TIG welding or coded welding experience Strong fabrication or plating experience The ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings Experience working to WPS documentation and welding procedures Knowledge of welding preparation processes A full UK driving licence Experience producing welds subject to X-ray or radiographic inspection would be highly advantageous.
