As Applications Engineer Technical Proposals, you will play a key role in developing technical and commercial solutions for customers across a range of industrial and energy-related applications. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, engineers, sales teams and project teams to understand requirements, select appropriate solutions and prepare clear, accurate and commercially sound proposals. This is a varied role offering technical challenge, customer contact, commercial exposure and the chance to influence project outcomes from the very beginning.

  • Preparing technical proposals, quotations and commercial submissions
  • Preparing clear handover documentation for the project delivery team
  • Supporting project teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analysing system performance and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Working with mechanical systems involving thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion and process technology

Experience as an Applications Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer or Estimating Engineer.

A background in mechanical engineering, process engineering, energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, industrial systems or technical equipment.

Experience preparing quotations, estimates, technical proposals or commercial submissions.

A full UK driving licence.

Familiarity with AutoCAD.

Experience with combustion systems, process equipment, heat transfer, thermodynamics, mechanical systems or power generation equipment.
