The role

As an Electromechanical Field Installation Engineer, you will deliver and install parking solutions equipment at customer car park sites across Dorset & Hampshire. You will work from home, travel to client sites, install equipment correctly, complete basic testing and checks, and make sure each installation is completed neatly, safely and professionally. This is a customer-facing role, so how you represent the business is just as important as the technical work itself. The company has a strong reputation for service, reliability and looking after customers, so they are looking for someone who is polite, steady, professional and dependable.

The work can be quite repetitive once trained, but that is exactly why the right person will enjoy it. This is not a role for someone looking for complex breakdowns, heavy industrial maintenance or constantly changing technical challenges. It is ideal for someone who wants a stable, predictable field-based engineering role with sensible hours and no call out.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver and install parking solutions equipment at client car parks
  • Carry out practical electromechanical installation work
  • Use hand tools and basic installation equipment
  • Complete basic testing and functional checks after installation
  • Make sure equipment is fitted neatly, safely and correctly
  • Provide a professional, customer-focused service on site
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams

What we're looking for

We are looking for a reliable, practical electromechanical engineer who is happy in a customer-facing field role. You do not need to be a heavy industrial engineer or advanced fault-finding specialist. However, you do need to be confident working with equipment, tools, installation tasks and basic technical checks. The right attitude is key. This role will suit someone who is:

  • Steady and dependable
  • Methodical and consistent
  • Comfortable with repeatable work
  • Professional with customers
  • Happy working independently
  • Reliable and well organised
  • Looking for long-term stability

Key skills and experience

  • Electromechanical engineering background
  • Practical installation, service or maintenance experience
  • Comfortable using hand tools
  • Able to carry out basic technical checks
