Are you a hands-on Site Services Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where uptime, reliability and safety truly matter? This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team at a large, modern industrial site in Anwick.
You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of all critical site services - the infrastructure that keeps a complex operation running 24/7. If you enjoy working across boilers, refrigeration, utilities, pipework and effluent systems, and want a role where your expertise directly impacts performance, safety and productivity, this could be the perfect next step.
The Role:
- Maintaining and operating site services including steam boilers, refrigeration, utilities, heating systems, hot & cold water and effluent treatment
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all services plant
- Working with mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
- Carrying out pipefitting and general site services work
- Completing Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and Emergency Light Testing
- Supporting commissioning of new equipment and ensuring effective operator training
- Applying lean principles to improve plant reliability, start-up times and efficiency
- Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
- Maintaining accurate logs, compliance records and test documentation
- Ensuring environmental and safety standards are met at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Essential:
- Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Experience in site services, utilities or plant maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Confident recommending improvements and solutions
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Desirable:
- Boiler House Management experience
- Ammonia Safe Handling
- Knowledge of effluent systems
- Experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of compressed air systems
- Understanding of Legionella control
- C&G 2079 F-Gas
- Forklift licence
