Are you an experienced HR Advisor, HR Officer or People Advisor who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment? We are recruiting for an HR Advisor to support the Transport operation of a major UK food and agriculture business, based near Sleaford, Lincolnshire .This is a varied, hands-on HR role working closely with transport managers and employees across a busy operational workforce. You will provide practical HR advice, manage employee relations matters and help managers deal confidently and consistently with day-to-day people issues.
The HR Advisor Role As HR Advisor, you will provide professional HR support across the Transport department, working closely with operational management and the wider HR team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Advising managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, conduct and capabilityManaging and supporting absence and sickness casesCoaching managers through HR policies, procedures and employee issuesSupporting investigations, meetings and formal HR processesProviding practical advice in line with UK employment legislationSupporting recruitment, onboarding and employee retentionMaintaining accurate HR systems and employee recordsSupporting training, development and compliance activityHelping drive employee engagement and a positive workplace cultureSupporting wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiativesWhat We're Looking For We would like to hear from candidates currently working as an: HR Advisor | HR Officer | People Advisor | Employee Relations Advisor | HR Generalist | HR CoordinatorYou will ideally have: Previous experience in an HR advisory or generalist roleStrong practical experience of employee relationsExperience managing disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability mattersGood knowledge of UK employment lawConfidence advising and supporting operational managersStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsGood HR administration and HR systems experienceA practical, resilient and solutions-focused approachCIPD qualification or be working towards CIPDExperience within transport, logistics, distribution, warehousing, FMCG, food production, manufacturing or another high-volume operational environment would be highly advantageous.
