Lead. Improve. Make an impact. We’re recruiting an Engineering Team Lead to play a key leadership role within a high-performing manufacturing and food processing environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering Shift Manager, you’ll lead a team of mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, ensuring plant reliability, safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers on shift
- Deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager when required
- Prioritise and allocate engineering work to maintain production efficiency
- Drive preventative maintenance using CMMS / SAP PPM systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and permit-to-work systems
- Support training and development of engineers and semi-skilled staff
- Work with contractors and visiting engineers on improvements and upgrades
- Maintain engineering documentation and records
- Promote 5S standards and environmental compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served fitter with minimum 4 years industrial experience
- Strong mechanical or electrical background
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Excellent fault-finding and decision-making ability
- IT literate with CMMS / SAP experience advantageous
- Organised, proactive and safety-focused
Desirable Experience
- Food manufacturing or poultry processing experience
- Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
