four operators .

This could suit an experienced
AD Operator, Senior Operator, Team Leader or Supervisor
ready to move into site management, or an existing AD Site Manager who enjoys practical involvement in plant operations.

Your AD knowledge is the priority.

You'll understand how to keep a digestion plant running safely, reliably and efficiently, alongside the confidence to organise a small team.

You'll be
supported by a Regional Operations Manager and their team , providing operational guidance and expertise as you take ownership of the site.

What's on offer Salary up to £60,000 , depending on experience.

An opportunity to progress from AD operations or supervision into site management.

Support from a Regional Operations Manager and their wider team.

Responsibility for a manageable team of four operators.

Scope to put your AD expertise into practice and directly influence plant performance.

About the plant The facility processes approximately
53,500 tonnes of energy crops and plant waste each year , producing biomethane for the gas grid alongside electricity through a CHP engine.

Crops are supplied by the adjacent farm, with plant waste sourced locally from fruit growers.

Digestate is returned to surrounding farmland as fertiliser, completing the cycle.

The site also processes straw through a briquetting plant to make better use of this feedstock.

What you'll do Lead daily AD plant operations, organising priorities for four operators.

Monitor plant performance, investigate process issues and improve gas output and reliability.

Coordinate planned maintenance, repairs and contractors to minimise downtime.

Maintain safe working practices, environmental compliance and accurate site records.

Manage feedstock and consumable stock levels, site costs and operational reporting.

Coach and develop the team, identifying training needs and setting clear standards.

Organise the out-of-hours call-out rota and provide cover when required.

Work with the Regional Operations Manager and their team to resolve issues and deliver practical improvements.

What you'll bring Strong practical experience within anaerobic digestion , with a sound understanding of plant operations and process performance.

The ability to recognise problems, investigate causes and take effective action.

Mechanical aptitude and confidence coordinating maintenance activities.

A responsible approach to health, safety and environmental compliance.

The communication skills to lead a small team and work with contractors, suppliers and colleagues.

A willingness to take ownership and remain involved in day-to-day operations.

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be useful, but
you do not need to have held a Site Manager title .

COTC, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are desirable rather than essential.

If you have the AD experience and are ready for greater responsibility, apply to Recruit ME to discuss the opportunity.
