We're recruiting for a Plant Operator to join an established Energy Recovery Facility in Tyseley, Birmingham. You'll support the safe day-to-day operation of the plant, including fuel handling, vehicle movements, mobile plant operation and basic first-line maintenance. The role involves equipment including front-end loaders, telehandlers and forklift trucks . TOL Job Spec - Operator What's in it for you? Salary up to Β£32,354.10 Permanent position 365-day, 24/7 shift rota 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Non-contractual bonus scheme Life Assurance Employee Assistance Programme Company expenses Sick pay of 4 weeks full pay and 4 weeks half pay following successful probation Sick pay increasing to 6.5 weeks full pay and 6.5 weeks half pay after two years' service The role As Plant Operator, you'll work as part of a three-person shift team supporting the safe operation of the Energy Recovery Facility. Your duties will include: Operating front-end loaders, telehandlers and forklift trucks Vehicle reception and banksman duties Unloading, loading and storing fuel Carrying out fuel weighing and sampling Recording operational results accurately Completing basic first-line maintenance, including greasing and PPM checks Maintaining clean, safe and orderly plant areas Following operational SOPs Working in line with health, safety and environmental procedures Providing shift cover for sickness, annual leave and training The role operates as part of a 365-day, 24/7 shift rota . TOL Job Spec - Operator What we're looking for Previous experience as a Plant Operator within an industrial, factory or heavy process environment would be advantageous, although not essential. Mobile plant experience would also be beneficial, particularly operating: Front End Loader / Loading Shovel Telehandler Forklift Truck Relevant, recognised mobile plant licences or operator tickets for this equipment would be advantageous, but are not essential.
