The Role
As a Field Service Engineer / Commissioning Engineer, you will carry out site-based commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support on combustion and fired equipment. You will work closely with customers, end users and internal engineering teams to ensure equipment is commissioned, maintained and supported safely, effectively and professionally. The role will involve extensive travel, potentially over 200 days per year, usually for periods of 12 weeks at a time, with some longer trips of up to 6 weeks depending on project requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and fault analysis
- Supporting installation supervision and retrofit equipment activities
- Working on combustion and fired equipment including flare systems, boiler burners, process burners, thermal oxidisers and vapour recovery systems
- Preparing RAMS, site visit reports, timesheets and client documentation
- Reading and interpreting P&ID drawings
